Salary : $105,000 - $115,000 per year plus 30% bonus

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced  General Manager to take the helm of one of the premier destinations for luxury and natural exploration in  Moab, UT . As the General Manager, you will lead all aspects of daily operations, oversee strategic development, and ensure exceptional services for rental guests and property owners. This position uniquely blends leadership, project management, and destination partnership, offering the dynamic challenge of managing a growing property planned for significant expansion over the next 5-7 years.

Job Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the  General Manager of  Moab, UT should bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury resort management, with an emphasis on short-term rental properties and ownership accommodations.
  • Experience managing short-term rentals and HOA's.
  • Experience with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering and Operations.
  • Proven leadership and financial expertise, combined with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.
  • Strong capability to build partnerships with nearby destinations like Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, along with other notable landmarks.
  • A talent for motivating teams, championing growth, and creating a collaborative, inclusive environment.
  • Skills in project management, as this property is under active development with an ambitious 5-7 year site expansion plan.
  • A passion for offering authentic recommendations and experiences that tie guests to the remarkable surroundings of Moab, UT.

Job Responsibilities

As a Resort General Manager in  Moab, UT , you will:

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services.
  • Manage existing casitas while navigating the resort’s multi-phase development to 200 units and a full-service hotel.
  • Foster partnerships with key stakeholders, including management of relationships with  Arches National Park Canyonlands National Park , and  Dead Horse Point State Park , ensuring guests receive unparalleled experiences through insider tips and collaboration.
  • Develop, execute, and communicate strategic initiatives that drive consistent growth and profitability.
  • Inspire your team to exceed guest expectations while upholding world-class hospitality standards rooted in the Modus Ethos.
  • Create personalized growth pathways for associates, focusing on leadership development, employee engagement, and empowerment.
  • Lead community engagement efforts, establishing our resort as both a cornerstone of the Moab community and a sought-after luxury destination.
  • Analyze market data, guest feedback, and financial metrics to ensure superior results across all areas of resort management.
