Job Description

Title: Senior Recruiter

Location: Remote - Preference for Minneapolis

Duration: 3-6 month contract to direct

Schedule: 40 Hours

Hourly Rate : $45-55/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, feedback management, and candidate closure.
• Conduct structured candidate evaluations using consistent rubrics and selection criteria.
• Proactively assess hiring needs and create pipelines to support business goals and timelines.
• Continuously improve our recruiting processes and documentation for scalability and efficiency.
• Build robust talent pipelines through direct sourcing, staffing firm partnerships, social media engagement, and innovative outreach strategies.
• Drive automation and process improvement across recruitment and HR functions.
• Collaborate on compensation benchmarking and offer structuring.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support potential future office operations in Minneapolis.
• Contribute to HR projects and help cultivate a dynamic, inclusive company culture.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of experience in recruiting, HR, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years of directly relevant experience.
• Demonstrated success in full-cycle recruiting and sourcing.
• Familiarity with ATS/HRIS platforms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for different audiences.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace, etc.).
• Experience managing confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• High emotional intelligence, empathy, and sound judgment.

Preferred:

• Experience in fast-paced or high-growth startup environments.
• Background in the energy sector (utilities, energy services, trade contractors).
• Familiarity with tools like Greenhouse, Paycor, Lattice, Slack, and Google Workspace.
