The Test Intake, Planning & Strategy Lead will oversee QA strategy, test intake, and planning activities for Daltile’s cross-platform integrations . This role will define and manage testing scope, ensure alignment across business, IT, and vendor teams, and drive quality standards across all connected systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive SAP testing experience, strong leadership in test governance, and the ability to manage multiple, complex testing initiatives simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

• Serves as the central point of contact for all testing requests for SAP and cross-platform systems.
• Reviews and prioritizes incoming test requests to ensure readiness, scope clarity, and alignment with business and technical objectives.
• Defines and maintains the master test strategy for all testing phases—functional, integration, regression, and UAT—across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Develops detailed test plans considering design, development and operational readiness; ensures test coverage includes all system interfaces and cross-platform dependencies.
• Coordinates testing activities across internal QA teams, SAP analysts, business users, and vendor partners.
• Oversees defect tracking, triage, and resolution, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently.
• Establishes standardized QA processes, templates, and best practices across multiple platforms and project teams.
• Works with test leads for work efforts to track and report test progress, metrics, and risks to project leadership and key stakeholders.
• Provides coaching, direction, and oversight to QA analysts and vendor testing resources.
• Partners with technical and infrastructure teams to ensure proper test environments, data, and tools are available and stable.
• Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance testing efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
• Ensures all testing aligns with Daltile’s quality standards and governance processes.
• Influences others through subject-matter expertise and provides strategic recommendations to improve test planning and execution.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
• 6-8 years of QA/testing experience, with at least 3 years in a test lead, planning, or strategy role.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA , including EWM, Fiori, and Vistex modules is a plus.
• Proven background in testing cross-platform integrations (e.g., Salesforce or other CRM, point of sale systems, middleware / integration services and data/analytics).
• Experience leading test strategy and execution across multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to coordinate internal QA teams and vendor resources in a hybrid delivery model.

Competencies:

• Advanced understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of SAP solution landscapes and integration points.
• Proficiency in test management tools for requirements traceability, automated test execution and test reporting (e.g., Jira/ServiceNow, Tricentis Tosca, qTest and performance/load test tools such as StormRunner or NeoLoad).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on test coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QA documentation tools.
