Job Title : Production Control Clerk

Reports to : Production Control Supervisor / Manager

Location : Georgetown, KY

Work Authorization: US Citizens only

Job Purpose

Responsible for shipping, scheduling, and production control support — ensuring customer orders and delivery commitments are met, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating material and production flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping documents (bill of lading, packing slips, ASN, steel tags, trucking invoices).
• Database entry, EDI report printing/distribution, update shipping info.
• Coordinate customer product demands and daily shipping schedules.
• Track production/inventory balances for reporting.
• Develop material releases and manage shipping supplies.
• Verify all shipping and inspection report entries.
• Ensure compliance with safety and proactively correct unsafe behaviors.

Qualifications

• Education : Associate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Experience : 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment (production control/logistics/scheduling/shipping).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and accuracy skills.
• Knowledge of material flow in manufacturing and business operations.
• Exposure to steel, forging, or automotive industries a plus (not mandatory).
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Primarily office-based, occasional shop floor visits.
• Must be able to sit/stand/walk frequently, and lift/carry 10–30 lbs occasionally.
• Some bending, twisting, gripping, and reaching required.
• Exposure to non-temperature-controlled production floor occasionally.

Ideal Candidate Experience Range :

• 3–5 years total in manufacturing/production environment.
• Should have hands-on experience with shipping/logistics/documentation and preferably exposure to steel/automotive/forging industry .
