Job Description

Atlantic American Precast , a division of H&K Group, Inc. , is seeking a highly motivated Precast Yard Laborer to operate forklifts ranging from 12,000 Lbs. to 36,000 Lbs. help with shipping and receiving of Precast items, and finishing precast concrete products. The ideal candidate is safety conscious and self-motivated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

• Performs all work according to OSHA, MSHA, and H&K Safety policies
• Able to operate large forklifts.
• Working alongside haulers.
• Finishing/Patching concrete.
• Using wire mesh to reinforce the concrete.
• Spreading and smoothing concrete.
• Molding expansion joints and edges.
• Using stains or colors to add the finishing touch.
• Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work.
• Monitoring the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Able to read and understand general production plans
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of how to use hand and power tools
• Able to work night and weekend shifts when required
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• Precast concrete experience
• Forklift experience
