Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to support our client’s medical facility in Huntersville, NC. This permanent opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

*Permanent Position with SIGN-ON BONUS and relocation assistance*

• Location: Huntersville, NC - 28078
• Job Type: Permanent
• Schedule: 3x12’s // 7 pm – 7:30 am
• Pay Range: $23.65 - $35.50 per hour // Night shift differential = $3.00 per hour // Weekend shift differential = $2.00 per hour // Incentives/Relocation Assistance: The sign-on is $5,000, relocation $4,000

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science OR Clinical Laboratory Science – required
• Candidates must be eligible for certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through ASCP – required
• Certification (MT - ASCP), or MLS - ASCP) is required within 12 months of the hire date – required
• Must live within 45 minutes from the facility or relocate to the area – required
• At least 1 year of previous experience as an MLT or MLS – highly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Performs laboratory testing and analysis on patient specimens, ensuring accurate and timely clinical data for diagnosis and treatment
• Maintains lab equipment, prepares reagents, manages inventory, and adheres to quality control standards
• Troubleshoots testing issues, escalates problems appropriately, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. CAP, TJC, OSHA)
• Communicates effectively across shifts and teams, contributes to process improvements, and participates in staff training and assessments
