Job Title: Gospel Worship Musician

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise as a pianist/keyboardist, with specialization in traditional and contemporary gospel music.
• Ability to perform music by ear without reliance on sheet music.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a worship or similar spiritual setting.
• Flexible availability to perform during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with worship leaders, choir members, and congregants.
• Previous experience providing musical support for church services or religious events is highly preferred.

Duties:

• Worship Services: Provide musical accompaniment for Sunday Worship Services, scheduled from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., including preparation from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
• Rehearsals: Participate in Friday evening rehearsals from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• Special Services: Offer musical support for additional events or services, with at least 30 days’ prior notice.
• Collaborate with the Gospel Congregation leadership to select and prepare musical pieces that align with worship themes.
• Accompany congregational singing, choirs, soloists, and other special musical performances.
• Perform a diverse repertoire of gospel music, covering both traditional and contemporary styles.
• Contribute to the spiritual atmosphere of worship by enhancing the musical quality and engagement of services.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold the decorum suitable for religious services.
