AVT Simulation is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in Oviedo, Florida. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the development, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components for our simulation products. This position does not require a college degree; instead, we value hands-on experience and practical skills in electrical engineering and technology.

Must be US citizen to acquire security clearance
This is not a remote position. 
Travel Requirement: 20%

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

• Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical systems and components according to engineering specifications and technical drawings.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions and improvements for existing electrical designs.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Document procedures, test results, and technical specifications accurately for reference and future troubleshooting.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 2. Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• 3. Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuits.
• 4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• 5. Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• 6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• 7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• 8. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

• 1. Vocational training or certification in electrical technology or a related field.
• 2. Prior experience with simulation technology or military systems is a plus.
• 3. Familiarity with software tools for electrical design and simulation (e.g., AutoCAD, LabVIEW).

Essential Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee may occasionally lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Basic computer operating system (Linux, Windows)
• Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
