Director of Golf
Golf Course in Friant, California is looking for a Director of Golf.
Position Overview:
This job is responsible for the coordination, functional management, and leadership of golf operations. Golf operations include Retail, Guest Services, Practice Facility, Golf Events, and Golf Membership experience. Carry out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create, implement, report, and analyze the golf operations including budgeting, sales, daily revenue, membership, and all other management-related duties.
• Establish and enforce golf course policies, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure consistent high standards of customer service across all golf operations, including the training and performance management of staff.
• Oversee all aspects of the entire operation, including golf operations, golf course maintenance, club house administration, food and beverage operation, and other recreational activities at the facility.
• Manage pro shop activity, including greens fees and merchandise sales.
• Coordinate on-course maintenance and daily course conditions with the Superintendent.
• Manage and supervise all personnel.
• Schedule and direct the scheduling of events (such as classes, clinics, camps, and tournaments) on the golf course facilities (course, practice greens, and driving range).
• Direct the work activities of subordinates (such as hiring, training, evaluating, scheduling, and approving payment of employees in the pro-shop).
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Golf Course Management unless otherwise waived by Tribal Council as based on determined experience and accomplishments.
Five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience as well as other relevant education or work experience
Class “A” PGA Certification.
Compensation:
$110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year.
