Director of Land Surveying – Orlando/Tampa (Senior Leadership)

A leading full-service civil engineering firm—specializing in land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation, and geomatics—is seeking a seasoned Director of Land Surveying to drive its surveying operations in the Orlando/Tampa region. Position Overview

In this senior leadership role, you will serve as the firm’s representative, responsible for managing and directing all aspects of land surveying projects. You will oversee the daily operations of the survey team and develop robust relationships with both public and private clients to ensure successful project delivery and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of land surveying professionals, providing effective resource management, technical guidance, and mentorship.
• Establish and maintain high standards of quality and safety on all surveying projects.
• Develop proposals and contracts that ensure project scope, profitability, and schedule viability.
• Understand client business initiatives to identify new opportunities and effectively cross-sell additional services.
• Contribute to the development of both short-term and long-term strategic market sector plans.
• Cultivate long-term client relationships and oversee the profitable operation of the Tampa/Orlando surveying group.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Florida.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental
• 8–12 years of combined office/field experience in land surveying.
• 5+ years of project management experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record in managing and growing client relationships.
• Strong technical expertise to guide the surveying project team through execution and delivery in a multi-disciplinary environment.
