Job Description

Specialty Capital, a leader in financial solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Collections Manager to drive our collections efforts and lead our high-performing team. We’re looking for a hands-on professional with a proven track record in used auto collections, auto loan recovery, or receivables collections, who thrives in making calls, negotiating, and delivering results. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Collections Specialists, fostering a results-driven culture while providing hands-on guidance to maximize recovery rates.
  • Spearhead the development and execution of innovative collections strategies to minimize delinquencies and recover outstanding debts efficiently.
  • Actively engage in outbound calls to negotiate payment plans, resolve disputes, and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts, prioritize recovery efforts, and implement tailored action plans to achieve aggressive collection goals.
  • Streamline collections processes to enhance efficiency, ensuring full compliance with FDCPA, TCPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Deliver detailed performance reports and actionable insights to senior leadership, driving continuous improvement in team and process outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in collections, specifically in used auto collections, auto loan recovery, or receivables collections, with a focus on making outbound calls.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing collections teams, with a knack for motivating and driving performance.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure conversations professionally.
  • Proficiency in collections software, CRMs, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess account data and develop effective recovery strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
