Head of Strategic Growth / Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

Trossen Robotics is an innovative robotics company developing cutting-edge technology for automation and research applications. Trossen has a powerful technical foundation but needs a strategic leader to help scale revenue, expand into new markets, and drive business growth.

As Head of Strategic Growth , you will increase sales, build strategic partnerships, and engage with investors. This role is ideal for someone who can take an advanced technology product and successfully commercialize it.

Key Responsibilities

  • New business model creation: Utilize new and existing technology and partnerships to establish new revenue streams. Create strong financial projections and brand awareness for these new business units/areas of expertise, e.g. data monetization, OEM partnerships, fresh markets.
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to scale revenue.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and secure partnerships in robotics and automation.
  • Sales Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Investment Engagement: Work with investors and venture capital firms to secure funding. Identify M&A opportunities, joint ventures, and strategic alliances to strengthen market positioning.
  • Market Expansion: Find new opportunities for the company’s technology in research and commercial applications.

Who You Are

  • Experience: 8+ years in revenue leadership roles (CRO, VP of Sales, Business Development) in robotics, automation, or deep tech .
  • Strategic Leader: Ability to develop new markets and drive business expansion.
  • Sales & Growth Focused: Proven track record of driving revenue and building partnerships.
  • Investor Relations: Experience securing funding and working with investors.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Excels in a fast-moving, startup environment.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $150,000
  • Bonuses: Performance-based incentives tied to revenue growth
  • Equity: TBD% equity with a standard 1 year cliff and 4 year vesting schedule. Vesting is both time and performance based (1) growth in enterprise value (valuation), (2) revenue targets, and (3) new strategic partnerships.
