Job Title: AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)

Location: Queen Creek, AZ

Employment Type: Full-Time-Direct Hire

Pay: $37.00-$44.00 hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to join our team at a cutting-edge data center construction project in Queen Creek, AZ . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all welding activities comply with industry codes, project specifications, and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections on structural and piping welds to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1, ASME, and other applicable codes.
• Verify welder qualifications and ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Conduct visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess weld integrity.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and quality control teams to address welding-related issues.
• Ensure all welding activities align with safety and quality standards.
• Support project managers with technical insights and inspection updates.
• Assist in resolving non-conformance reports (NCRs) and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) Certification (Required).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in data centers, industrial, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, ASME, and other relevant welding codes.
• Experience with visual inspection, NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with safety and quality programs in construction environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass background checks as required by the project.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional NDT certifications (UT, MT, PT) preferred.
• Experience working in mission-critical facilities or data centers.
• OSHA 30-hour safety certification is a plus.
