Web Designer - Long term Freelance

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Monday/Tuesday on site

Duration: Ongoing

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Pay Range: $30-$32 per hour

Job Description:

Our client, a leading organization in Atlanta, is launching a new website and intranet via SharePoint. They are seeking a freelance Web Designer to support the design, layout, and user flow of both platforms. This is a full-time, 40-hour/week hybrid role, with onsite work required on Mondays and Tuesdays. The client is seeking someone with experience designing for intranet experiences and while this is web design focused, any best practice knowledge of UX fundamentals and basic coding is helpful (no hands-on development required, just basic high level knowledge is a plus)! We'll also be looking for candidates who not only have worked in SharePoint, but WordPress as well.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to design and refine the layout and flow of the new website and intranet.
• Work within established wireframes and templates to deliver visually engaging and user-friendly designs.
• Create storyboards and design assets that align with brand guidelines and user experience goals.
• Support website redesign efforts, ensuring consistency and usability across pages.
• Utilize WordPress and SharePoint to implement and manage design elements.
• Assist with video editing tasks as needed to enhance digital content.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showcasing website design and redesign projects.
• Proven experience with wireframing, storyboarding, and layout design.
• Proficiency in WordPress, SharePoint, and design tools.
• Experience working on a Mac and in collaborative environments.
• Bonus: Familiarity with video editing tools and techniques.
