Position Title: History and Humanities Teacher

Reports To: Assistant Head of School and Academic Dean

Position Summary:

The History and Humanities Teacher is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation and instruction of the History and Humanities Teacher curriculum. 

Primary Duties: __________________

Administrative/Organizational

• Attend all school meetings and in-services
• Meet regularly with supervisor(s)
• Take attendance daily and report any missing students to the Dean’s Office
• Submit a detailed written report on each student each semester
• Assess students’ performance periodically throughout the semester
• Assist in the design and development of assigned subject curriculum
• Submit course description to the Academic Dean
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans
• Adhere to all school policies and procedures
• Attend MBS Crisis Management trainings.
  

Instruction/Purchasing /Parent Weekends/Special Events

• Daily class instruction
• Maintain classroom safety and cleanliness
• Care and maintenance of equipment/supplies
• Submit order requests for necessary supplies/materials
• Meet/Converse with parents as scheduled and attend specified MBS Community Events.

Study Hall

· They are required to provide study hall coverage Monday-Thursday from 3:15-4:15pm.
