Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and curious Textile Developer with deep expertise in fabrics, print, and pattern to join our Women’s Sportswear Apparel team. This role blends creative material exploration with technical development , ensuring our athletes receive exceptional product experiences while driving sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead seasonal fabric and print development from concept through commercialization.
• Research textile, print, and pattern trends to deliver innovative material solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Technical Development, Product Merchandising, Sourcing, and Manufacturing.
• Partner closely with vendors to develop and test materials, ensuring performance, quality, and sustainability standards.
• Manage multiple seasonal lines and ad-hoc projects while maintaining timelines and deliverables.
• Track testing, data, and material performance in garment form to inform development decisions.
• Communicate effectively with overseas vendors and internal teams across time zones.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Apparel, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in material or textile development within apparel or accessories.
• Strong knowledge of knits, wovens, ribs, print & pattern development.
• Experience in yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing techniques.
• Proven experience partnering with vendors from material inception to production.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Product Data Management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across seasons with competing deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of industry material trends and sustainability initiatives.
• Experience working with performance and lifestyle fabrics.
• Familiarity with material lab testing and data interpretation.
• Digital collaboration skills with tools such as Smartsheets.
