Technical Writer

In this role, you will assess the current environment and develop the most effective strategy and platform for creating SOPs tailored to a front-line audience You will be responsible for the design & development of technical documentation regarding departmental standards. You will produce formal, centralized documentation & SOPs to replace information that is currently scattered across various informal sources.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to gather, organize, & consolidate all necessary details in order to create comprehensive SOPs regarding proper procedures for frontline audiences. You will create an initial template and the long-term goal is to create SOPs across multiple areas within store locations, using this template.

This is a 9-month contract (potential to extend or convert to perm) in the Vinings.

The team operates in a hybrid model: in-office Mon-Thu & remote on Fri.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create SOPs for front-line audiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct research & gather info. related to brand standards across various focus areas
• Develop & implement a comprehensive program that defines long-term maintenance tasks, schedules, & ownership for equipment & infrastructure
• Produce clear, accurate, & thorough technical documentation to support & standardize procedures
• Over time, contribute to the creation of manuals, training materials, & process documentation to support consistent execution & knowledge-sharing

REQUIREMENTS

• 4 years of experience as a Technical Writer
• Experience creating SOPs for front-line audiences
• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud / InDesign (or similar) for SOP creation
• Proven cross-functional team collaboration skills to gather & organize info. for SOPs
• Background in writing manuals, training documentation, & process guides
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, & proficiency in grammar, spelling, & document formatting
• Bachelor's Degree (highly preferred)
