About the Job
Youtech is looking for a talented Senior Web Designer to join our team. This position is full-time in-house and in office Monday-Friday. You will be responsible for managing, designing, and maintaining web-based projects for our clients. This person is a goal-oriented individual who possesses exceptional attention to detail and has outstanding interpersonal skills. This role requires interacting with and implementing UI/UX best practices and principles. In addition, the Senior Web Designer is required to work closely with the creative team to delegate tasks, as well as other departments at Youtech to make sure the goals of the client are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Web Designers, providing support, evaluating performance, and fostering their professional growth.
  • Review and provide feedback on the work of Junior Web Designers to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize processes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and streamline workflows.
  • Set timelines and assign tasks for various web projects including WordPress, Shopify, and Woocommerce website builds.
  • Prepare for client meetings and presentations, assisting in the development of materials and strategies for effective communication.
  • Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clients
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to align on project goals, discuss progress, and address any challenges.
  • Lead client meetings including creative meetings, design reviews, demos, and end-user training to ensure client satisfaction and project alignment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to identify requirements, set project goals, and deliver on expectations.
  • Provide thought-leadership on Web design best practices and next-generation digital trends
  • Create Web Design mock-ups using Adobe XD or Photoshop for WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce platforms.
  • Design and develop websites on WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce, ensuring functionality, responsiveness, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Test and enhance the design and functionality of existing websites to improve user experience and performance.
  • Identify and integrate various third-party applications to websites based on client needs and project scope (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Hubspot, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain robust Web Style guides for all our consumer- and business-facing products
  • Lead the development of a new brand and how to convey it cohesively across our multiple Web properties

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 4-5 Years of experience in designing, building, and managing websites using WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Proven Expertise in all technical aspects of front-end development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD).
  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS with the ability to read and edit code.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX design.
  • Excellent design skills with the ability to adhere to client branding guidelines.
  • Experience in Email Marketing platforms such as MailChimp or Constant Contact.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving ability as well as identifying problems proactively and proposing solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate across departments.
  • High self-motivation and a drive for delivering compelling and effective designs.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A Strong visual and technical portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Knowledge of browser compatibility across various platforms and devices.
  • Strong ability to design with accessibility in mind.
