Senior Relocation Specialists for work in Manteca and surrounding areas.
The Senior Relocation Specialist position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients while working closely with the Manager and other team members to maintain operational standards and procedures. This position operates directly under the direction of the Manager-On-Duty. The position has direct interactions with clients and members of the public at-large.
You deliver excellent customer service, while safely and efficiently helping clients downsize, relocate and liquidate through online and in-person estate sales. Every day is different. You truly make a difference in the lives of our clients every single day. You adapt to new situations, effectively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision, and work productively in a team environment.
We offer flexibility and part-time work with no required or guaranteed hours. Perfect for parents with school-aged kids, retirees, and for anyone with a busy schedule.
Roles and Responsibilities: - Work on a team to downsize and relocate clients and liquidate unneeded items.
- Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes and in senior living communities.
- Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and cleanout.
- Use phones/tablets to create auction listings, photograph, and describe the items.
- Sort, organize, research, label and handle items for resale.
- Assist buyers during on-site pickup and sales.
- Greets clients with a smile, receives orders, processes payments and responds appropriately to customer issues.
- Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts.
- Note that we are not movers! We use professional movers for furniture and items over 40 pounds. We ask that you follow best practices for all health and safety requirements and company guidelines.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: - High School diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 years or older & eligible to work in the United States.
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. You will be reporting to work at different locations depending on client's location.
- Have reliable childcare (if applicable)
- Willing to report to work at different locations (our client’s homes)
- Willing to undergo pre-employment background check & drug screen
- Compassion and respect for clients and their families
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Professional attitude and demeanor
- Experience in the fields of general labor or warehouse helpful
- Ability to interact productively with co-workers and function well in a team environment
- Strong verbal communication skills and English fluency
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Punctual and attentive to detail
Physical/Environmental Requirements: - Frequent walking and/or standing
- Stamina to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 40 pounds, hang items at or above 4 feet, pack/unpack and label boxes, climb stairs. Carry supplies, items, and moving boxes to/from vehicles, within a home or outbuilding.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced & changing environment
- Willingness to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments. We provide Caring Transitions T-shirts & aprons. Gloves available if needed.
Pay: $20/hour, plus additional pay when travelling outside our normal territory.
