NHBB is looking for a Senior Buyer

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to work with our Purchasing Team in our Peterborough, NH facility.

As a Senior Buyer be supporting the department and company's financial goals, including manufacturing productivity, material cost and product quality. You will help develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships. Working closely with our stakeholders, you will work to improve cost, quality, delivery and other key performance metrics.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Review, coordinate and execute complex, one-time and multi-term purchase requests in accordance with our policies;
• Develop supply strategies and independently manage complex site-level projects.
• Research and evaluate suppliers to meet our business needs.
• Source, solicit, and prepare requests for information, quotes and proposals.
• Review contracts for terms, conditions, pricing and other factors.
• Negotiate supply agreements for pricing, terms and schedules.
• Lead root cause investigations of defective supplied material.
• Support department and organizational goals.
• Foster a collaborative environment.
• Lead, guide and train employees, as needed.

Your skills and abilities will include:

• Proven analytical and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong verbal and writing communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as work independently.
• Strong organizational skills.

Experience and Education includes:

• Minimum of five (5) years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing company.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
• Record of purchasing with in appropriate high dollar value commodities with consistent accuracy and success.
• Knowledge of ERP systems use in a manufacturing environment.
