Job Summary

The Senior Accountant reports to the VP of Finance and shares responsibility for areas relating to financial reporting. This position includes general ledger preparation, financial reporting, support on month-end closing procedures, support on SOX compliance, support with budgeting and forecasting.

Job Location

• This is an onsite role based in Phoenix, AZ

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closings
• Track and maintain fixed asset and leasing schedules
• Ensure account reconciliations and closings are completed accurately and timely
• Collaborate with Site Managers, VP of Finance and Sales VP to accomplish business goals for a growing company in a booming industry
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• 3+ years prior experience in corporate accounting, public accounting or manufacturing
• Competent in standard cost accounting/manufacturing
• Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and managers
• Accounting/Finance degree preferred
• Proficient in MS Office – especially Excel
• Strong organizational, analysis, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills
• Ability to take the initiative and work independently
• Ability to travel up to 25%
