Jones Networking is recruiting for a Security Officer to join the Washington, DC office of an international Law Firm. This part time weekend opportunity offers flexibility as well as the opportunity for growth and advancement!
Security Officer Position Description:
-Ensure staff, employees, clients and property are protected.
-Conduct safety and security patrols.
-Provide escorts to parking facilities and Metro stops for employees working after hours.
-Maintain daily security log for after-hour security operations.
-Ensure proper distribution of security reports.
-Duplicate keys as necessary.
-Issue visitor passes.
-Distribute parking passes.
-Conduct security brief for new arrivals.
Security Officer Qualifications:
-Associates Degree from an accredited college or graduate of a recognized law enforcement academy preferred.
-Must maintain qualifications as a Special Police Officer when hired.
-Minimum two years security / law enforcement experience (college credits may be substituted to satisfy this requirement).
-Certified in CPR and First Aid by a recognized Association desired.
-Emergency Medical Technician Certification a plus or must be obtained within one year of employment.
-Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel to generate security reports.
-High level of diplomacy, confidentiality and professionalism.
