Regional Director of Biomedical Engineering

Location: Western U.S. | Travel Required

Reports To: VP of Operations

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

We’re on the hunt for a Regional Director of Biomedical Engineering with real-world experience in hospitals and healthcare systems - someone who already understands the clinical, operational, and regulatory landscape that makes this work so complex and important.

Important: This is not a general healthcare operations or IT role. Prior, hands-on experience managing medical devices in hospital environments is required . Candidates without this background will not be considered.

This isn’t a back-office role. You’ll be on the ground, building and managing high-performing teams across multiple hospital sites, supporting new business launches, keeping operations smooth, and making our clients say, “I wish everyone worked like HERO.”

You're not just overseeing multiple accounts - you’re shaping the future of our business in the region.

You’ll Own:

• Multi-site Leadership: Oversee biomedical engineering program operations at multiple hospital systems across state lines. Each site should feel your presence - without you needing to be everywhere at once.
• Team Development: Mentor, coach, and guide local managers and techs to be confident decision-makers, excellent communicators, and HERO culture carriers.
• Client Relationships: Serve as the executive touchpoint for hospital leadership. Build trust, solve problems proactively, and elevate the HTM experience.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality across all accounts. You’ll be the one ensuring KPIs, compliance, and communication stay tight.
• New Business Startups: Help launch new client accounts from scratch - site assessments, onboarding techs, establishing workflows, calming chaos.
• Scalability: Spot the gaps before they become problems. Build infrastructure, systems, and processes that make it easier for us to grow without losing our edge.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years in the healthcare technology management world supporting medical devices in hospitals and healthcare systems , with at least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
• Direct experience in the HTM field is required. We’re specifically looking for candidates who have worked in or alongside Biomed or Clinical Engineering teams within hospital environments
• Proven success managing people, projects, and partners across different regions
• You can walk into a client meeting with confidence and into a Biomed shop with credibility
• Solid knowledge of CMMS platforms, regulatory compliance, and the HTM industry at large
• You move fast, solve problems, and keep your ego in check
• CBET and CHTM certifications are a plus. Lean/Process Improvement mindset is a win. Leadership instinct is a must
• Willing to travel and thrive in environments where no two days look the same
• Biomedical Equipment Technicians with deep experience and natural leadership skills - who haven’t yet been given the formal opportunity to lead - are strongly encouraged to apply. If you’ve been the unofficial go-to person on your team, it’s time we talk
