Job Description

An automotive parts manufacturing company in the northern suburbs of Lexington, KY is searching for a Quality Manager to join their KY plant. This role will oversee the direction, development, and implementation of all quality activities.

This is a full-time and direct hire position with benefits (401k matching, vision, dental, health, etc.). Must be able to work 1st shift.

Responsibilities:

• Identify quality issues, lead problem-solving efforts, and support the production team in implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Supervise the quality team, and work closely with other departments
• Oversee the inspection process to ensure that all products meet quality standards before shipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of audit findings, actions taken, and follow-up activities
• Participate in daily meetings, offer suggestions, updates, quality concerns, etc.
• Maintain departmental KPI’s
• Continuously assess and improve quality assurance processes and procedures
• Additional duties as assigned by upper management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Quality Management or a related field is ideal
• Proven experience in quality management in the manufacturing, plastic fabrication, or automotive industry is preferred
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001) and IATF requirements is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
