Job Description

A social services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Psychiatric team in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:

Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Full Time or Part Time
Hours: 12am - 8am
Setting: Stabilization Center

Responsibilities:

Complete screening, assessments and Care of every client seeking services
Evaluate severity of withdrawal symptoms using established screening tools
Coordinate delivery and reception of medications with pharmacy
Document all medications received and coordinate management of the meds while client is at the center
Observe self-administration of medication
Monitor withdrawal symptoms during detoxification according to established protocols
Provide education and consultation to individual clients and/or groups on their health needs
Assure clients' compliance with prescribe medical regimen
Complete timely and accurate documentation on medical services rendered
Complete all clinical documentation in EHR
File all documents in the clients' charts upon completion
Manage inventory of medical supplies and coordinate replenishment with Office Manager.
Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

2+ years of Nursing experience
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience with Assessments and Case Management
Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Desired Skills:

Masters Degree in Nursing
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Experience with homeless families and/or veteran services highly
Knowledge of Psychiatric Disorders and Chemical Dependency
