Job Description

Join a well-established Houston architecture firm with nearly 30 years of experience delivering award-winning projects across Texas. Specializing in education, multifamily housing, and campus planning, the firm offers the opportunity to contribute to complex, high-profile work in a collaborative environment that blends a small-firm culture with big-firm resources. As a Project Architect, you’ll lead projects from schematic design through construction documents, serve as a key client contact, and collaborate closely with consultants and construction teams to create thoughtful, detail-driven interior spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large, complex projects and manage all phases of design from schematic design to construction documents.
  • Produce complete and accurate interior documentation, including finish plans, schedules, custom millwork drawings, and commercial furniture and fixture plans.
  • Serve as primary client contact and coordinate with consulting firms, vendors, and construction teams.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and quality across all project deliverables, maintaining high standards of design excellence.
  • Mentor junior staff, foster teamwork, and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of architecture/interior design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design; licensure or active pursuit of licensure required.
  • Mastery of Revit and proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, or InDesign is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of interior design production and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, senior management, and project teams.

Benefits and Culture

  • Collaborative team that values creativity, communication, and meaningful work.
  • Award-winning projects in education and multifamily design across Texas.
  • Small-firm feel, big-firm resources — autonomy with strong team support.
  • Growth-focused culture with mentorship and long-term client relationships.
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, 401(k), and generous PTO.
