We are seeking a Program Director to provide leadership and direction for NSU’s Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Program . Reporting to the Associate Dean, this role is responsible for the overall development, coordination, and administration of the program, including faculty leadership, curriculum management, accreditation, and student engagement .

This is a key academic leadership position for a CRNA professional who is passionate about advancing nurse anesthesia education and preparing the next generation of providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all aspects of the CRNA program, including curriculum, faculty, and accreditation.
  • Secure and manage affiliation agreements with training sites to ensure compliance with HRSA, HIPAA, and other regulations.
  • Recruit, orient, and evaluate faculty and adjuncts supporting the CRNA curriculum.
  • Prepare and manage the program budget in collaboration with leadership.
  • Develop reports, self-studies, and documentation required for accreditation.
  • Advise and mentor students, supporting academic and professional success.
  • Teach undergraduate or graduate-level nursing courses as assigned.
  • Serve on college and university committees, representing the CRNA program internally and externally.
  • Stay current with trends in nurse anesthesia education and incorporate innovative teaching/learning strategies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Doctoral degree (DNP, DNAP, EdD, or PhD in Nursing or related field).
  • National Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) .
  • Eligibility for the State of Florida RN licensure .
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching/academic or related experience , including research.
  • Strong ability to lead faculty, develop curriculum, and manage accreditation processes.
