Job Description

Our client, a leading plastics manufacturing company specializing in polyethylene films — including plastic bags, single line sheeting, and printed/colored bags — is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a team of 10–12 production staff on the weekend day shift.

This is a critical on-site leadership role ensuring smooth operations and strong team performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage a production team during the Friday–Sunday day shift (6AM–6PM).
• Maintain production output, quality standards, and safety compliance.
• Serve as a working supervisor—actively involved on the floor, not just observing.
• Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to a team of operators.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and the Production Manager to ensure consistency across all shifts.

What We’re Looking For

• Required: Prior production experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: Familiarity with blown film production (monolayer single extrusion) — not required, but an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to learn on the job if unfamiliar with specific equipment.
• Ability to occasionally train with other supervisors or the Production Manager during onboarding (approx. 8 additional hours per week as needed).
