Operations & Engagement Coordinator

Location: Anchorage, AK

Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: President/CEO

Position Summary

The Alaska Safety Alliance (ASA) is seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and relationship-driven professional to serve as our next Operations & Engagement Coordinator. This critical position acts as a central hub in our nine-person team—supporting financial processes, membership coordination, event logistics, website updates, customer service, and digital communications.

Reporting directly to the President/CEO, this role is highly trusted and collaborative, requiring confidence, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including board members, staff, members, vendors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day operations, including accounts payable/receivable and CRM updates

· Coordinate the ASA Scholarship Program, Annual Membership Meeting, and board/committee logistics

· Update the ASA website and send newsletters using WordPress and Mailchimp

· Support member services, trainees, and learning platform users with excellent customer care

· Serve as the go-to staff member for organizing systems, event planning, and internal support

Ideal Candidate

· 5+ years of experience in operations, administration, or nonprofit support

· Comfortable with QuickBooks Online, WordPress, and email marketing tools (or willing to learn)

· Thrives in a small-team environment where flexibility and collaboration are essential

· Takes initiative and pride in being organized, helpful, and detail-focused

· Communicates clearly, respectfully, and professionally in a variety of settings
