Purpose of Position:
Occupational Therapist is to develop and carry out treatment plans for inpatient,
Outpatient, and home health patients
Essential Functions: Performs effective OT evaluations and treatmentsCompletes documentation in a timely mannerProvides thorough documentation and communication of patient care to referring providerHelps maintain adequate and appropriate OT inventoryHelps maintain sanitary and orderly department environmentDemonstrates knowledge, skills, and safety of splint making Demonstrates knowledge of precautions and correct uses of modalitiesDemonstrates knowledge and skills of appropriate manual skills per diagnosis; including join mobilizationsDemonstrates knowledge of precautions and correct treatment using Fluid therapyThe preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned in this job classification. Education, Qualifications, Experience:
Licensure in the State of Kansas
Expectation of Service: This is a non-exempt 40 hour per week position. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Physical Requirements: Occasional sitting, frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting/carrying 10-50 pounds with occasional lifting/carrying 51-75 pounds; frequent reaching/grasping, twisting, pulling/pushing. Frequent exposure to equipment. Continuosly writing in English and working irregular hours. See attached Physical, Sensory and Mental Requirements portion of the job description.
