Registered Nurse 1, Psychiatric - Nurse Assessor - Crisis Intervention Unit
Capital District Psychiatric Center (CDPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is currently recruiting Registered Nurses to serve as Nurse Assessors for their Crisis Intervention Unit (CIU). Positions are available on overnight shifts including rotating weekends.
The CIU provides 24-hour crisis response to children, adolescents, and adults in the Capital Region. Individuals can be referred by a mobile crisis team, law enforcement, outpatient clinics, local hospitals, or individuals can self-present in a time of crisis.
Nurse Assessors will perform the full range of activities as authorized under the scope of practice as a Licensed Registered Nurse and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to triage and assess individuals in a psychiatric emergency room setting including:
Minimum Qualifications: NYS License and current registration to practice as a professional nurse.
