Job Description

A leading academic medical center in Northern New Jersey is currently seeking a Cognitive / Behavioral Neurologist (Physician) to support its outpatient neurology services. This is a flexible, travel-based assignment providing coverage while the organization recruits a permanent provider.


About the Opportunity

• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 2-3 days per week
• Hours: 8am to 5pm (8-hour shifts)
• Setting: Outpatient Neurology
• Call: None
  

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and managing patients with cognitive and behavioral neurological conditions
• Providing outpatient consultations and follow-up care
• Collaborating closely with fellow neurologists and interdisciplinary care teams
• Documenting clinical encounters accurately and timely in the EMR
• Supporting continuity of care during the permanent recruitment period

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Fellowship training in Cognitive Neurology and/or Behavioral Neurology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Active New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Experience in outpatient neurology settings
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Professional, patient-centered approach to care

Desired Skills:

• Prior academic or large health system experience
• Comfort working within a multidisciplinary environment
• Flexibility and adaptability in a temporary coverage role
