New parents living on Upper West Side, New York looking to hire a Nanny for their baby girl who will be 4 months in January when the position will start.
The Ideal Candidate : Someone who is experienced in caring for babies, ie- diaper changing, soothing, calming, someone who is caring and nurturing. It is important for this person to be willing to do light cleaning/laundry when mom takes the baby. Mom loves being with her daughter and wants someone to be there to help support her when she needs to go somewhere.
What Works Best for Family: Someone who is kind and respectful of decisions parents make. They would love someone to have suggestions but not be offended if the parents decide to do things a different way. It would be helpful for someone to be flexible with work hours including additional daytime off or hour needed in early morning or evenings. The parents may want time with their daughter during certain working hours and may ask that the nanny goes to get a cup of coffee or something else to give them privacy. They are guaranteeing 40 hours per week pay regardless and would like someone to be flexible if one day they ask for less hours but a couple others on a weekend.
