Our family is seeking a loving and capable caregiver to provide childcare for our daughters and son (who will be almost 5 years, 2 years, and 4 months old when care begins) and to support the day-to-day organization of our household. This is a full-time position (45-50 hours per week, generally 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. M-F), and we are delighted to pay a competitive hourly rate ($33/hour plus overtime pay). We seek to hire a qualified candidate to start in January or February 2025 (flexible). Job duties include caring for our children in our home (preparing meals/bottles, changing diapers, playing with/reading to our children), picking up children from school, and walking/driving our children in an employer-provided vehicle to nearby activities. Duties also include performing light housework (sweeping/vacuuming, wiping countertops, loading/unloading dishwasher, laundering children's clothes, straightening toys, etc.) as time allows. We're looking for a person with energy, love to give, and a can-do attitude. Our ideal candidate is a Catholic who will model Christian virtues for our children and facilitate their participation in school and church activities. Prior experience caring for multiple children, including infants, is required. While not required, Spanish language skills are a strong plus in our bilingual family. Candidates need not be "career" nannies - this position is also suitable for someone who is looking for a one- to two-year position before going on to additional schooling or other pursuits. We ask that candidates be willing to make at least a one-year commitment to our family. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and willing to be paid through a payroll system with taxes withheld. Candidates must consent to a background check and provide a certified copy of their driving record in order to be considered. Candidates should show proof of recent CPR certification and/or be willing to become certified at our expense. References are required. If you or someone you know is interested in working with our family, please contact us.
