Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team in Huntersville, NC . In this role, you will perform critical lab analyses to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing in compliance with quality assurance and safety protocols.
• Prepare reagents, manage inventory, and reduce waste in lab operations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate as necessary.
• Maintain and update lab procedures to meet CAP, TJC, and OSHA standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership on patient care and operations.
• Participate in team meetings, competency assessments, and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

• Associate’s degree in a related field (Required).
• MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent required within one year of hire.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree must obtain MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) certification within one year of hire.

Experience & Skills:

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to biohazardous materials.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Details:

• Location: Huntersville, NC
• Schedule: Night Shift (Shift differentials apply)
• Compensation: $23.65 - $35.50/hour
• Night Shift Differential: +$3.00/hour
• Weekend Shift Differential: +$2.00/hour
