Job Description

Amberstone is growing and we are seeking an experienced Master Carpenter to support our residential, emergency restoration, and light commercial operations. This role is for a seasoned professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands jobsite discipline, and sets the standard for how work should be done.

This is not a helper role and not a position for someone still learning the trade. We are looking for a carpenter who can execute independently, lead by example, and elevate the quality of work around them.

What this role involves:

• Leading and executing carpentry work across multiple project types

• Framing, drywall installation and finishing, and flooring work

• Finish carpentry, repairs, and rebuilds following restoration work

• Supporting remodels and interior improvements

• Reviewing work for quality and correcting issues when needed

• Maintaining clean, safe, and professional jobsites

• Communicating clearly with project managers and field leadership

Required experience:

• Strong hands-on experience in carpentry and interior trades

• Proven ability in framing, drywall, flooring, and general carpentry

• Experience working in occupied homes and light commercial settings

• Understanding of proper sequencing, materials, and workmanship standards

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of results

What we look for:

• Pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail

• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism

• Strong work ethic and respect for the trade

• Willingness to mentor others through example

• Commitment to doing the job right—no shortcuts

What we offer:

• Competitive hourly pay: $25–$35/hour

• Consistent work across residential and light commercial projects

• Clear expectations and structured operations

• Leadership that is present and supportive

• A professional environment where quality work is respected

This role is ideal for a carpenter who wants steady work, clear standards, and a company that values skill, accountability, and professionalism.

If you are looking for casual work or a low-expectation environment, this position will not be the right fit.
