Here’s what you’ll do:

Process Development and Leadership

• Participate in simultaneous engineering activities for new engine development projects (plan, define, and implement related process changes within the given time frame of each of the projects)
• Develop new and improved manufacturing processes with necessary assembly/machining process definition and documentation
• Ensure stability in engine-related processes through the establishment of process FMEAs, development and implementation of process control plans, and improvement of individual workstations to maximize output
• Conduct time and work sequence studies and implement process modifications to increase production and improve quality
• Lead cross-functional teams to set priorities, project plans, and due dates.
• Monitor activities within the team, coordinate implementations, and report to Area Management.

Communication and Documentation

• Establish and maintain new equipment project books, equipment FMEA standards, and Engineering SOPs to be used across departments
• Manage control documents as per ISO requirements
• Effectively facilitate communication between production and management on project status

Equipment and Tools

• Identify and procure necessary equipment and tools to support the manufacturing process
• Participate in commissioning and new product launch activities

Facility

• Manage facility’s torque control tool spare parts management, tooling repair and replacement, and DC tool program back-ups
• Maintain facility equipment numbering, documentation, and IT equipment integration
• Design procedures and plant arrangements to ensure proper material handling and storage

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing)
• At least 4 years of direct experience in the same field/role
• Demonstrated technical problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills
• With leadership experience/ability to lead a team

Bonus points if you have:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing
• With a Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA
• Experience working with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
