Job Description

MAU is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our client in Conyers, GA. As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the ongoing improvement of maintenance initiatives, including the Reliability Workflow Process (RWP), Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO), and Predictive Maintenance (PDM). Responsibilities include coordinating and performing proactive maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and refurbishments on production equipment and processing systems, ensuring compliance with safety, reliability, and cleanliness standards. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information:

• Rotating 12-hour shifts: 3 consecutive day shifts (6 AM–6 PM), followed by 3 days off, then 3 consecutive night shifts (6 PM–6 AM).

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical or electrical repair of equipment and heavy machinery within a manufacturing environment

General Requirements:

• Proficient in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Skilled in using tools such as voltage and amperage meters, meggers, torque wrenches, calipers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, laser tripods, and other relevant equipment
• Certified or willing to obtain certification in forklift, overhead crane, wave pickers, manlifts, scissor lifts, hoists, and rigging operations
• Competent in preventive maintenance and diagnosing equipment malfunctions
• Familiar with OSHA regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and working at heights
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to utilize technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, providing effective solutions for equipment failures and installations
• Reliable and adaptable to changes in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
• Proactive self-starter with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical systems
• Expertise in extrusion, blow molding, and injection molding processes
• Knowledge of PLC programming and robotic systems
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) certification
• Experience with Vibration Analysis (ISO Level 1)
• Proficiency in Ultrasonic Testing (UE Level 1)
• Background in Machinery Lubrication (MLT1)
• Familiarity with Lean 5S practices and/or Six Sigma methodologies

Essential Functions:

• Perform complex repairs and extensive overhauls on system components and equipment, following OEM recommendations and specifications
• Conduct maintenance to ensure equipment and facility operate at peak performance
• Complete maintenance tasks safely, efficiently, and with attention to cleanliness
• Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment, and align gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts
• Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational guides for equipment repair, modification, and maintenance
• Manage inventory control of parts and equipment used from stock
• Address assigned maintenance work orders promptly, ensuring high-quality repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to the maintenance schedule
• Document all activities accurately in the CMMS
• Conduct predictive maintenance inspections using internal and external resources to optimize machine performance
• Provide mechanical and technical guidance, coaching, and expertise to support Level 1 & Level 2 technicians in developing their skills
• Follow all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Pass the internal Technician test with a minimum score of 85%
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Work Environment or Working Conditions:

• This position operates in a manufacturing environment, frequently exposed to seasonal temperature extremes, including excessive heat or cold. Due to the concrete materials used in production, the work setting is often loud, dusty, and dirty.
