  We are seeking a skilled Mainframe COBOL Developer with expertise in IBM mainframe systems, COBOL development, JCL, DB2, and SQL. The ideal candidate will excel in bridging the gap between design and implementation, offering innovative solutions and ensuring quality deliverables. This role requires working within an Agile/Scrum delivery model to develop, test, and optimize mainframe applications and DB2 processes.

  Key Responsibilities
• Development & Testing : Design, develop, and test applications using IBM mainframe systems, COBOL, JCL, DB2, and SQL.
• Solution Delivery : Provide solutions involving collaboration portals, enterprise search, dependent applications, and interactive forms.
• Requirements Management : Analyze and manage business requirements, ensuring cross-dependencies with other applications or processes are understood.
• Quality Assurance : Collaborate closely with QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Best Practices & Governance : Offer guidance on industry best practices, guidelines, and governance for mainframe applications and DB2 processes.
• Benefit Analysis : Conduct benefit analysis for IT solutions and recommend technology directions.
• Innovation & Industry Trends : Stay updated on the latest technologies and innovations in web application technologies and industry trends.
• Team Collaboration : Work collaboratively in a complex, diverse, and dynamic hardware and software environment.
• Leadership : Supervise and mentor staff as assigned, participate in recruiting efforts, and conduct staff performance reviews.

• Technical Expertise :

  • Proficient in IBM mainframe systems, COBOL, JCL, DB2, and SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise search and interactive forms.

• Agile Experience :

  • Hands-on experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery model.
