Overview

Qualified candidates will have 5-10+ years experience programming 5-axis mills, 3-axis mills, and lathe. Experience with Master Cam is mandatory to qualify. All unqualified applicants will be dismissed immediately.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring quality standards, programming and setting up jobs, and leading a team of machinists. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and precision measuring instruments. The Machine Shop Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing production efficiency and meeting deadlines, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Duties

  • Program all new parts using Master Cam
  • Supervise and coordinate daily machining operations to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Develop and implement machining processes and procedures to enhance productivity.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Oversee the maintenance of machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on CAM programming for new projects.
  • Manage inventory levels of tools and materials within the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Train and mentor machinists on best practices in machining, tooling, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • 5-Axis programming using Mastercam is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in a machining environment with a strong understanding of machining processes.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
  • Experience with modifying standardized tooling to meet job requirements and promote efficiency.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of production.
  • Experience in Aerospace level manufacturing.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
