Prestigious West Los Angeles Personal Injury trial law firm is hiring a Legal Assistant who wants to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, high profile trial law firm that handles significant 7 and 8-figure cases.

Candidates for this position must be able to handle a case from intake and the filing of the Complaint to trial.
Legal Assistant Position Job Duties:
Calendaring all case deadlines and events
· Formatting, proofreading, finalizing, serving, and filing legal documents, including Summons & Complaints, Motions, Briefs, Notices, and Subpoenas
· Interacting with clients to obtain information
· Preparing retainers, record authorizations, and record requests
· Providing a high level secretarial and administrative support
· Drafting correspondence
· Managing all case-related documents
· Updating all case-related data in Case Management program
· Coordinating travel arrangements and scheduling of meetings
Qualified candidates MUST have 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in California, preferably in plaintiff's litigation. Resumes where litigation experience is not well documented will not be considered. Candidates must enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, have excellent organizational and writing skills and good rapport with clients, be able to handle a heavy case load and have a strong working knowledge of the CCP, FRCP and Evidence Code/Rules. Spanish-speaking and/or experience with Litify and Compulaw a plus, but not required.
