Georgia Land Surveying Company is recruiting the next generation of land surveyors. We are looking for self-motivated, problem solving, hardworking individuals. We are a small eccentric company that is looking for career-minded people who want to become expert land surveyors.
We are a land surveying firm that performs boundary, topographic and as built surveys on commercial and residential property. We also specialize in aerial mapping with manned and unmanned aircraft. We maintain a small business feel with a relaxed atmosphere, and despite our small size we are one of the leading firms in technology.
Role Description
We are looking for people who want to become land surveyors. There is no experience required for this position ; however, we do require you have 9 semesters hours of land surveying coursework. A survey related degree is preferred, but I encourage you to apply if you are interested in the position.
This job position would typically be a rodman or assistant land surveyor position. You will be working underneath a seasoned land surveyor conducting residential boundary surveys, commercial ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, tree inventory surveys, and aerial control surveys. You will be trained to use Leica robotic total stations, Leica RTK GPS, how to perform raw data calculations, and basic CAD. This will be fast-paced, intense on-the-job training. Expect your training to last three months. At that point, you will be assigned a truck and equipment to run your own crew as well as a pay increase. This is a great position for someone who wants to get licensed as an RLS or certified as an ASPRS technician in photogrammetry or LiDAR.
