Positions: Laboratory Assistant & Laboratory Technician 1

Locations: Lancaster, PA

Openings: 4

Shift: 5 days On-Site; 40 hours per week

• Monday - Friday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
• Tuesday - Saturday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; 12:00 PM-8:30 PM; 1:00 PM -9:30 PM)
• Sunday - Thursday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; 12:00 PM-8:30 PM; 1:00 PM -9:30 PM)

Start Date: ASAP

Interview : 1 Round Interview (In Person)

Desired Traits:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of laboratory practices or willingness to be trained.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, excellent work ethic, self sufficient mindset.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks during 10-12 hour shifts.
• Able to work in a team, dynamic, and fast paced environment.

Plusses:

• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
• Pipe Petting Experience.

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is looking to hire a laboratory technician for a client of ours in the Lancaster, PA area. Below are general responsibilities.

• Sample preparation, processing detection sponges, & plate reading; weighing, inputting media, documentation.
• Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner; ensure sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded.
• Verify results and submit results to the appropriate personnel for transmission, in a timely manner.
• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
