Job Description

TVGla is seeking a Junior Copywriter to join our creative team. This person’s primary role will be to craft copy for performance based ads and email campaigns for a client in the fintech industry.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the direction of creative and strategy leads to concept campaigns and craft messaging across emails, video and paid social
• Learn our client’s brand voice and messaging guidelines inside and out
• Turn a client brief into compelling copy that addresses the ask, while also being able to adapt copy based on performance testing and directional shifts
• Strictly adhere to the specifications and character limits of various ad placements
• Proofread your own work and proof / copy edit others’ work, ensuring that all copy is consistent and error free
• Work closely with the design team to ensure that the copy that appears within graphics fits layout and readability standards
• Ideate on creative concepts for emails and paid media that communicate the product’s value propositions in clever and compelling ways

We are seeking someone with:

• 1-2 years of work experience in an agency setting or as part of an internal team focused on performance marketing
• Impeccable attention to detail and a strong appreciation for technical language
• Rock-solid grammar expertise and knowledge of AP Style
• Online portfolio of relevant work, including multi-stage email campaigns and digital ads
• A strategic mind and the ability to answer “who, what, when, where, and why” before writing
• A creative mind and the ability to take the strategy and apply a creative spin with your copy
• The ability and confidence to explain and/or defend copy choices while also being flexible to adapt, revisit and improve first drafts
• An appreciation for graphic design and how copy contributes to the overall creative message
• Experience executing against tight deadlines
• Must be self motivated and a strong problem solver

Bonus Points:

• Experience copywriting for brands in highly-regulated industries (fintech)
• Good sense of humor
