Journeyman Electrician / 61165

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Rotating On-Call (Approx. 1 Weekend/Month)

Pay range up to $42.50/hr

Sapphire Recruitment is actively seeking a Journeyman Electrician for immediate hire. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity supporting a private utility operation at a large business and technology park. Ideal for those with lineman experience, cable splicing skills, or background in campus-style utility distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground medium-voltage (5kV–15kV) electrical systems
• Perform splicing, termination, switching, and grounding of cables
• Operate and maintain transformers, switchgear, and related electrical equipment
• Safely use utility vehicles (bucket trucks, digger derricks, etc.)
• Troubleshoot outages, perform switching/tagging, and support system reliability
• Participate in emergency and after-hours response on a rotating basis

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman license
• Valid Class A or B CDL (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and switching procedures
• Familiarity with OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E, NESC, and standard utility safety practices
