Job Description

Job Title: Installation & Maintenance Technician - Hawaii Airport Advertising

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours: 40 hours/week, occasional night work required

Compensation: $64,000 - 72,000/year

Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and installing all advertising units across the neighbor

island airports (Kahului, Lihue, Kona, and Hilo). This role ensures the functionality, quality, and

presentation of both static and digital advertising displays, while coordinating with contractors,

maintaining compliance with airport safety standards, and keeping detailed service

documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain all advertising units within the neighbor island airports.
  • Perform installations, including banner placements/swaps and digital signage setup.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine installation requirements for both static and

digital units.

  • Schedule, manage, and supervise outside contractors when necessary.
  • Ensure all work complies with airport safety and security regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair digital display systems (media players, modems, cameras,

power controllers).

  • Clean and maintain digital monitors and surfaces to ensure professional presentation.
  • Inspect and maintain static advertising units, banners, brochure racks, and magazine

stands.

  • Keep tools, equipment, and storage units organized.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all service activity.
  • Provide installation records, including post-install photos, for client and internal reporting.
  • Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to ensure accurate scheduling,

reporting, and documentation of advertising units.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with installations, maintenance, or field service work (digital signage or

electrical experience preferred).

  • Ability to safely operate tools and equipment, including scissor lifts.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for digital hardware and basic networking.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation habits.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple airports.
  • Must have reliable transportation and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must meet airport security clearance requirements.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform installations.

Work Environment:

This role involves regular travel between neighbor island airports, physical installation work, and

coordination with contractors under strict airport security protocols.
