General Manager – High-End Restaurant (Approachable Luxury)
I’m partnering with a well-regarded hospitality group to identify an exceptional Restaurant General Manager to lead one of San Antonio’s most exciting dining rooms. This is a high-end property where luxury feels warm, welcoming, and unpretentious — a place that pairs culinary excellence with genuine hospitality.
The GM will be the driving force behind the restaurant’s culture, leading a team dedicated to delivering extraordinary guest experiences. This role requires not just strong operational skills, but also a passion for mentoring staff, shaping service standards, and building lasting guest relationships.
What You’ll Do:
Provide hands-on leadership to ensure guests consistently enjoy an elevated yet approachable dining experience.
Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and Hotel leadership to refine both culinary and service programming.
Recruit, train, and inspire a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of growth and empowerment.
Manage financial performance through careful cost controls, accurate forecasting, and thoughtful resource planning.
Oversee inventory and ordering for wine, beer, spirits, and supplies with an eye toward efficiency and quality.
Implement ongoing training programs to reinforce service standards, menu expertise, and team development.
Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a secure and well-maintained operation.
Lead the in-room dining program, maintaining the same high standard of service as the restaurant.
Conduct regular performance reviews, offering feedback and guidance for both hourly and salaried employees.
What We’re Looking For:
A leader who is equally passionate about people, food, and guest experience.
2–3+ years of management experience in a high-touch, service-driven restaurant (luxury or fine dining preferred).
Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate challenges with professionalism.
Experience with business planning, cost management, and inventory control.
Tech-savvy with systems like Microsoft Office, Micros POS, and OpenTable.
A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience).
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to lift 25–50 pounds as part of normal duties.
This is an incredible opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a high-end environment that blends polish with warmth. If you’re ready to take on a visible leadership role with a respected brand, I’d love to connect.
