JOB DESCRIPTION
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the training, testing, and installation of systems both in-house and in the field. This position operates primarily in the field, without supervision, and requires approximately 20% travel. In the Field: -Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair of tone telemetry and SCADA systems to the PCB assembly level on all systems. -Consult with factory personnel to perform diagnostic testing and make recommendations for improving the performance of SCADA system software and firmware. -Conduct training, system installation, and startup, including final acceptance, in accordance with contractual obligations. -Prepare comprehensive trip reports and expense reports daily, documenting any configuration changes, present trouble symptoms, problems found, and actions taken. -Adhere to all company ISO 9001 procedures and standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5-10 years experience of Field Service or Technical Support Engineering with system integration and communications Experience with diagnostic testing, troubleshooting and repair for SCADA system software and firmware Experience with training, testing and installation of systems both in-house and in the field Open to up to 20% travel
