**Job Description:** **Summary:** We're seeking an experienced **Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager** to lead and continuously improve our safety, health, and environmental programs at the Olathe facility. In this role, you'll champion a proactive safety culture, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ITW and regulatory standards. Your leadership will directly impact our employees' well-being, operational excellence, and the long-term success of our site. You'll serve as a strategic partner to operations, engineering, maintenance, and administrative teams building a strong, sustainable safety culture where every employee goes home safe, every day. **Essential Duties:** + Serve as a trusted advisor to department supervisors and functional leaders on all safety, health, and environmental matters. + Lead and continuously improve all EHS programs, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as ITW standards. + Develop, implement, and maintain critical safety programs including Process Safety Management (PSM), LOTO, Machine Guarding, HazCom, and Powered Industrial Trucks. + Oversee the site PSM program, collaborating with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams-as well as third-party specialists-to assess and reduce process risks. + Manage and improve waste management, SPCC, SWPPP, RCRA, and AIR compliance programs. + Develop, analyze, and report safety performance metrics (including OSHA indicators) to drive continuous improvement. + Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations; lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. + Partner with HR on incident management, worker's compensation, reporting, and behavioral safety initiatives. + Lead and support the site Safety Committee and other engagement efforts to strengthen employee ownership of safety. + Deliver engaging EHS training to all levels of the organization and maintain 100% completion of required certifications. + Perform job hazard analyses (JHAs) and support departments with data-driven risk reduction plans. + Escort employees to medical care when needed and train additional authorized personnel to do the same. + Champion ITW's core values-integrity, simplicity, respect, and shared risk-while applying the 80/20 principles to drive meaningful, lasting improvements. + Occasional travel (up to 10%) for business needs and cross-site collaboration. **Education & Other Competencies:** + Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field. + Minimum of 6 years' experience managing OSHA safety programs in a manufacturing environment. + Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and workers' compensation requirements. + OSHA Training Institute Certification preferred. + Proven ability to conduct safety audits, manage compliance programs, and deliver effective EHS training. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence at all levels of the organization. + Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust and drive positive change. + Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with digital reporting tools preferred. + Spanish fluency a plus. + Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure; skilled in time management and prioritization. + Available by phone for emergency response as needed. _ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
