Temporary DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT needed to cover for a 6 plus month LOA in Costa Mesa. This is an IN OFFICE role. Not a remote role.
This person will prepare public Board Meeting packets in accordance with the Brown Act and provide advanced administrative support to the Chief Administrative Officer. This is an on-site, full-time assignment for an estimated duration of 6 months. The position will be expected to work 40 hours/week from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ideal Candidates will have:
Experience working in the government sector, specifically with public board meetings
Strong writing and editing skills
Advanced ability using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
Advanced experience with Adobe Acrobat
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills

Example of Duties:
* Prepares Board and/or Committee meeting packets by reviews all contents of packets to ensure information is complete and accurate
* Coordinates the distribution of Board and/or Committee packets
* Prepares Board meeting notices
* Oversees and updates the Board of Directors and District's website to ensure information is current
* Prepares and processes the Board of Director's payroll, communication, and mileage reimbursement
* Oversees and updates the Board of Directors and District Transparency sections of the District's website to ensure information is up-to-date
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by vocational/technical training in office practices.
Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible clerical, secretarial, and routine administrative support experience.
